GPPA Announces the 2025 Oilman of the Year: Kris Orbell
Every community has people who elevate others simply by the way they show up. People who lead
with authenticity, contribute without hesitation, and strengthen the spirit of those around them. In the
Grande Prairie region, the Grande Prairie Petroleum Association recognizes those rare individuals
each year through the Oilman of the Year Award.
For 2025, we are proud to honour a man who embodies dedication, leadership, and community at the
highest level.

oil and gas sector spans a wide range of roles and responsibilities, each one adding depth to his

Recognizing Our 2025 Lifetime Members:
The Grande Prairie Petroleum Association has been built over decades by people who believed in
community before it was convenient, who showed up when help was needed, and who created a
foundation strong enough for future generations to grow upon. Each year, we recognize those
individuals whose long-term contributions have shaped the GPPA into what it is today.
In 2025, we proudly welcome an exceptional group of individuals as Lifetime Members. Their service,
dedication, and commitment to both the industry and the people of the Peace Region represent the
